I came across your Translation Journal article in a web search and thought it was very well written. This is a short note to say how much I enjoyed your work.
I smiled to myself when I read, "With jongsin, nothing is impossible"—a concept I've tried to impress upon my son. Born and reared in the U.S., my 9-year-old sometimes doesn't quite grasp Korean people's jongsin.
I really enjoyed this excellent article. I'm not a native English speaker, so when I'm translating from Korean to English, I must be careful to avoid the errors you discussed. I'll refer to your work frequently.
